Hadn't heard from the hospital so I rang them this morning, unfortunately they don't work on a saturday either, so didn't get my message until this morning, and the critical time has gone.
A little dissapointed as I'll now have to wait another month. Hopefully it won't fall on the weekend next time round.

Ovulation test showed positive this evening! So left an answerphone message at the hospital. I know they don't open on a Sunday, so hopefully they can get me in for tomorrow!

Had my ultrasound today, I thought it would be the 'jelly on the tummy' sort of scan, but no, I had to lie back with my legs in stirrups for an internal scan.
After the initial pain it was cool to see what the inside of my womb looks like, the nurse looked at the openings for the fallopian tubes. Each month the fallopian tubes take it in turn to release an egg, so one was showing very thin, but the other was a bit wider and everything looked okay.
So now it's just down to waiting for the test to show positive, maybe last month was just a blip.

I've been using the ovulation tests but so far nothing has come up. I've spoken to the nurses and they've told me that it's far too late for this month, so I will need to wait until my next cycle.
When I'm on day 10 of my next cycle they will get me in for an ultrasound, just to check everything is going okay inside. There is no charge for this which is good, as we've been told the price of the sperm is now £752!!!

Well it's taken us a little longer than expected but we are now back on track. We are finally settled into our new home, and ready to make a start :)
I rang the hospital to let them know we're ready, and luckily we've contacted them just before it's been a year. Else we would have had to go back to my doctors to get referred again. All the tests I've had so far are still okay and nothing has to be taken again.
I was told to start using the ovulations tests around day 10 of my cycle (today is day 3) then ring up as soon as I have a positive reading.
Here we go!!!

Had my appointment today, the consultant just explained the next steps which are...
After my next period, around day 10-11 of my cycle I need to use an LH (Luteinizing Hormone) kit which monitors the level of the hormone and tells you when you are your fertile peak.
It's a lot like a pregnancy testing kit, and I'll need to test at 10am and 10pm every day. When the level tests positive I need to contact the clinic, who will then get me in within 36 hours for the insemination.
The process will be a little like the x-ray, they will use the speculum again, then insert a catheter tube right to the top of the uterus, and use that to inject the sperm.
At the moment me & C are in the process of buying a house, and with all the stress, packing & moving, we've decided to put this on hold for just a couple of months until we are more or less settled into the new house.
So the next update will hopefully be in May, when I will start using the LH testers :)

Just a short update...I've received the date of my next appointment with the consultant, March 9th.
I didn't feel funny on the antibiotics, but different people have different reactions. The first one made me feel really nauseous, and I felt queasy after taking the others for a few minutes. But nothing really bad.
Looking forward to my next appointment, I'll be told the next step and hopefully we are getting closer to the big day!
I didn't realise we would have to pay for this appointment too, so that's another £70 to pay out, but it will be worth it in the end :)
